Chaos Over Referral crib sheet

Crib sheet for
introducers

Pick the message that matches what you've noticed about them. Change a word or two so it sounds like you, you're vouching for someone you rate, not pitching a service. The less it reads like an ad, the better it works. Thanks 🙏

The one thing worth doing: name the specific thing they struggle with. "Your pipeline's up and down" lands harder than "they help with growth."

Two quick pointers

1. Don't name the specific services in a referral. At this stage, they mean nothing to the person and makes it sound like a sales pitch. Name the problem and let Sukhi take it from there on the call.

2. A written, cc'd email introduction is perfect. Not a verbal "you should call this guy." Check out the example below for pointers.

1 · The all-rounder
WhatsApp or email

Works for almost any situation.

I know someone who might be useful to you. Sukhi Dehal runs a consultancy called Chaos Over. He works with agency and services founders on the commercial side, pipeline, proposition, new business- the stuff that's usually a mess when you're busy doing the actual work. He spent 20 years building and exiting his own agency, so he's been in it, all the ups and downs. Want me to introduce you?
2 · Pipeline's up and down
WhatsApp

When new business is inconsistent.

That thing you said about feast or famine on new business, this is exactly what Sukhi Dehal sorts out. He runs Chaos Over, works with founders whose pipeline lives or dies on how busy they are. Worth a chat with him? Shall I put you two in touch?
3 · You're the bottleneck
WhatsApp or email

The founder wins all the work.

You know how new business basically only happens when you do it? There's a guy, Sukhi Dehal, who builds the commercial side so it doesn't all sit on the founder. His thing is called Chaos Over. He's done it in his own agency for 20 years, so it's practical and works. Happy to introduce you if it'd help.
4 · The low-key nudge
WhatsApp

The softest version, no overselling.

Random, but if you ever want to talk through the commercial side of the business with someone who properly gets agencies, Sukhi Dehal is worth knowing. Runs a consultancy called Chaos Over. He knows his stuff. I rate him. Defo worth chatting to him!
5 · The written intro
Email · cc both people

A proper introduction. This is the version that earns the fee.

The version that counts
